If you need to record a YouTube video for whatever project you're working on, you can use this feature to help you. Here's how to copy a video frame from a YouTube video.

Whether you need to capture video for notes, a presentation, a website, or a document, capturing the perfect image is easier than ever using the steps below to copy a video frame directly from YouTube.

The resolution of the photo you will copy is also higher than using a screenshot extension or tool like SnagIt or Windows Snipping Tool. You can get even higher resolution photos by upscaling your YouTube video to 1080p or 4K resolution (when available).

  1. Launch Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on your computer.

Chrome will automatically download available updates – restart your browser to complete the update process.
