How to save an image using the download tool in Google Slides

One of the best ways to save an image from a Google Slides presentation is to use the built-in slide download tool.

To use the download tool to download images from Google Sides:

  1. First, open your Google Slides presentation.
  2. Go to Insert > New slide in the top menu. This will create a new slide for you to work on.
  3. Select the slide that contains the image you want to download.
  4. Then select the image, right-click and select Cut or copy of.
  5. Go to the new slide and right click > To paste to paste the image onto the slide.
  6. Once the image is on your new slide, resize it to fill the slide's entire canvas area by dragging the corners of the image. One thing to remember, however, is that if the image is not the same aspect ratio as the slide, it will appear stretched. An alternative is to leave white space around the image and place it in the center (or create white shapes to achieve a similar effect).
  7. If there are other objects on the slide, such as text or shapes, select them and press the Delete key to remove them.
  8. To download the slide (and therefore the image), go to File > Download. From the drop-down menu, choose the type of image you want to download (e.g. JPG or PNG).

The image should now be saved to your PC or Mac, allowing you to use it elsewhere.
