1. Call your phone

3. Use Find My Phone

Your phone has security measures that allow you to track, tap, lock, or erase it remotely if the feature is turned on. On Android™ devices, the feature is; called Find My Device™; on an iPhone, it's called Find My™.

4. Remotely erase your phone data

So if you think your device was; stolen, delete the data remotely immediately. Sophisticated thieves can remove SIM cards or use special cases that protect cell phones from cellular networks, making it impossible for you to clean the device if you take too long.

To remotely erase an iPhone:

1. First go to https://icloud.com/find on another device and log in to your iCloud account.
2. Then click All Devices and choose the iPhone you want to erase from the list.
3. Afterwards click Erase iPhone .

To remotely erase your Samsung or Google phone:

1. Firstly access android.com/find on another device.
2. Then log in to your account Google.
3. Finally, in the menu on the left, choose Erase device .

5. Lock your phone and change your passwords

So if your device cannot be; located quickly, use the find my phone feature to remotely secure your phone from any location.

And in fact be sure to change passwords for accounts or apps you use regularly, especially financial accounts, email and social media, just to be safe.

6. Contact your cell phone carrier

In fact, if you were unable to locate your device and wiped and locked it remotely, contact your carrier. They can; deactivate your account so that you are not; responsible for any data usage or phone calls made after loss.
