Siri got incredibly worse with iOS 15 – Apple promises big improvements to Siri in iOS 15, with the assistant; digital by adding better contextual understanding and the ability to share content on screen. But Siri seems to have forgotten how to handle some other basic tasks — and her omission is puzzling.
However, Siri has apparently lost the ability to check your call history, play voicemails and send emails.

Finally we checked the missing features on an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 15.1 beta.
Ask the Siri to send an email, for example, and you will receive a message “Sorry, I can't help with this message.”

You also have the option of tapping a button to open the Mail app. A similar message is displayed for the missing call history and voicemail features.
However, you can have Siri play your most recent voicemail by asking the assistant; to play your last voicemail.
The absence of these commands is annoying enough if you've relied on them as part of your workflow. If you are a user of iPhone visually impaired, however, have the ability to send emails; and checking calls with your voice is key.
MacRumors links to an AppleVis forum where users detail how missing Siri commands are affecting them.
Siri got incredibly worse with iOS 15
However, to add to the mystery of what happened to Siri, this does not appear to be tied to the iOS 15 update.
However, users still using iOS 14 had the same problem with the voice assistant. And we can check this too – on an iPhone XR running the latest version of iOS 14, Siri wouldn't check; call history or send an email.
However the irony here is that with iOS 15, Apple offers the smartest version of Siri ever.
Requests now occur on the phone itself, making your Siri queries faster and more secure.
Therefore additional features allow you to share items such as photos, podcasts, map locations and other content; just telling Siri to share them with a specific person in your contacts.
However, Siri also better understands the context of the request, making it easier to ask follow-up questions; to the assistant when you're asking about locations, opening hours and more.
Finally, as cool as these additions are, they are not very useful if the Crab cannot handle the basics; and that is the situation we seem to be in now.
However, Apple has not yet told MacRumors whether the removed Siri abilities are intentional or if this is a; bug that will be fixed in a future update. Ultimately, we hope it’s the last.
